Devolver’s newest grab looks great!

Children of the Sun is described by Devolver Digital as a “thrilling revenge road trip” and has been made by a single developer, René Rother.

The third-person shooter revolves around “just one bullet — which can be re-aimed on impact, smashed through armor, and guided around obstacles,” Devolver said. You’ll need to use that lone projectile to “take out large groups of cultists in a single rapid burst of violence. Style, efficiency, and speed are rewarded.”

The title boasts a “unique combination of tactical sniping, puzzle solving, and light stealth”, and includes a scoring and leaderboard system to encourage replayability and refinement of strategy.

Children of the Sun is lethally replayable by design,” Devolver continued. “There are multiple solutions to each level, encouraging creativity and experimentation, with a satisfying scoring system that awards points for accuracy and efficiency. Then you can check the online leaderboards to see how you stack up against your friends and the rest of the world.”

Enjoy the trailer.
